The History of AB2000

Formed in 1995 by Adam Bruce AB 2000 was originally located on London Road, continuous growth saw the company expand year on year. In 2002 we acquired the specialised rail plant assets from G Plant Rail Ltd and this saw the expansion of AB 2000 existing Rail Division.

Eventually in 2003 the company had grown to such a size that both yard and offices required new larger premises. After a lengthy search of the surrounding area we finally relocated to a renovated cable factory in Cambuslang.

The new offices and workshops have excellent motorway access and have allowed our engineering and maintenance services to keep pace with the growth of the fleet.

August of 2005 saw the acquisition of the Mobile Crane and Plant Fleet from Motherwell Bridge Ltd. Along with the plant came an experienced staff specialising in crane operations and lifting certification.
